I made an appointment (you MUST have an appointment) and, despite all the negative reviews, went to the IRS office with an open mind. An appointment consists of standing at the front counter to conduct business; there is no privacy. The people working at this office are incredibly rude. More importantly, they do not know what they are doing. I asked for an explanation, stated I did not understand, asked explicitly what I needed to do in order to take care of my situation. They could not answer me and then tossed some forms at me. I finally asked for, and they reluctantly gave me, their supervisor's phone number. Mine was a complicated situation and, while I did not like the answer the supervisor provided, she was polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. I recommend that you not take any answers these people have as fact; get the supervisor's number and CALL! I give this office a negative star (I had to click on a star to be able to post; unfortunately, they don't provide negatives). It's the worst public service provider I have ever dealt with.

Also we had another interaction with this office during my son's deployment. He was a victim of identity theft and his wages were being garnished, so I was authorized to represent him when he had to go back. They worked with us and were able to get to the bottom of this, and money that had been garnished from his wages was refunded back to my son. Based on the bad reviews I see here, I guess there is another personnel in place.
